Undergraduate Audition
When auditioning for scholarships and admission to the trombone studio at UCA, you should perform music that allows you to showcase what you do best as a trombonist. The audition should include works of contrasting styles. Many prospective students audition at UCA with pieces required for All-Region and All-State auditions. While these pieces are acceptable, it is a good idea to perform alternative or additional works when possible. The works listed below are provided as a guide, but you may choose other pieces.

Recommended Solo Pieces:
Tenor Trombone BM
Concertino in Eb for Trombone by Ferdinand David
Andante and Allegro by J.E. Barat

Concertino for Trombone and Orchestra by Lars Erik-Larsson
Sonatina for Trombone and Piano by Kazimierz Serocki

 Bass Trombone BM
Cameos for Bass Trombone by Gordon Jacob (pick 3 movts)
Concerto in One Movement by Alexander Lebedev
Sonata in F minor by George Phillip Telemann (movts 1 and 2)
